Many hands make light work
Kia Ora Kaharoa Whanau,
The Kaharoa PTA is an active group of parents and teachers, helping to foster a strong sense of community; supporting the school in its endeavours and providing opportunities to enhance the experience all our tamariki have during their time with us.
We do this by organising a number of fundraising endeavours, and supporting other school activities throughout the year. Together we embrace the School’s future development, its progress and our commitment to excellence.
Getting involved is a great way to meet other parents and join in our social events and fundraising activities. The committee works extremely hard to bring the very best to our Whanau.
Being a high decile school, means we get less money from the ministry than a lower decile school for resources that are needed in and outside of the classroom, we rely heavily on school donations and the funds raised from fundraising events to be able to provide things that fall outside of the schools operating budget like playgrounds, environmental improvements, extra classroom resources and activities. So your support with fundraising initiatives is really important. For more information about the decile system, please have a look at the following two websites:
We really welcome ideas for fundraising that have been really well thought out, and because we are a small team, we always love to have more people help, to see these ideas become a reality.
We have teams of PTA members and non-PTA members for every event we offer.
Being a super friendly and welcoming team of people it would be great to see even more social events happening throughout the year, we just need people to help run them. If you’d like to know more about how you can help please talk to any of the staff or email us directly on one of the emails below:
