An IMPORTANT request for help and support from ALL Kaharoa School parents. As some of you may already be aware we have a pupil at school who quietly and strongly copes with Systemic chronic juvenile arthritis. This young man gets fully involved in our school life despite often being in pain, while at the same time showing great resilience and character. He is currently receiving treatment and this is where we need your help.
Early stages of the treatment will leave him extremely prone to infection. Chickenpox is particularly dangerous to him. All his parents ask, is that all school parents report promptly to the school office any illness or infection (particularly chickenpox) that your own child may have as soon as you are aware of it. To assist in this matter, in the short term, we would also appreciate you texting 0276660665 with your child’s illness and room number so that this boy’s parents are informed directly. This will allow for prompt and appropriate action to be taken. This is imperative for his safety and well-being.
We appreciate your help and will advise when texting is no longer required. This will be ongoing in 2018.
