Earth Hour this Saturday!

posted: Thu, March 26, 2020

SWITCH OFF: SATURDAY 28 MARCH * 8:30-9:30 PM * EARTH HOUR 2020 * AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND

Join Kiwis Going Dark for a Brighter Future!

In this difficult time, it is inspiring to see the ways people are staying connected and navigating these challenges together. It is this connection that gives us hope, keeps us healthy, and makes us resilient. Whilst we may not be able to be together in person this Earth Hour, we can still stand in solidarity with Kiwis, and millions of others across the world, by taking part from the comfort of your home.

With your lights switched off, we hope you’re able to take the hour to enjoy a break from the news, connect with whānau, get creative, and relax.

Now is our opportunity to fill the internet with positive and uplifting images from Earth Hour and messages about protecting our planet - the home we all share. Let’s recognise this exceptional challenge, reflect on how we can unite and look after our planet, and fill the internet with positive, uplifting images of Earth Hour.

Once the hour is over, we’ll send you ideas of ways you can continue to make a difference.

Take part in Earth Hour and tag #EarthHourNewZealand in your photos on social media.

We’re grateful for your support on this journey together to restore the harmony between people and nature. We may be working from home, but rest assured, we are still working for you and our planet.

With your help, we can amplify our collective voices to reach further, and make a bigger impact, than ever before.

We are in this together.

Ngā mihi nui,
