Welcome to 2026 at Kaharoa School! As we step into this new year, we look forward to catching up with returning whānau and warmly welcome new families into our community. Our school is more than a place of learning – it’s a space where tamariki are encouraged to grow, contribute, and belong.
At the heart of Kaharoa School are our revitalised values: Ako (Learning), Manaaki (Care), Rangatira (Leadership), and Kaitiaki (Guardianship), held together by deep respect – for ourselves, for others, and for our place. These values guide everything we do, and you’ll see them in action across our kura – from classroom learning to leadership opportunities, our enviro programmes, sports, and community events.
We believe education should be challenging, inclusive, and connected to the world around us. Whether it’s through structured literacy, hands-on science, kapa haka, or garden rotations, our tamariki are supported to catch a spark and imagine how they can make a difference. We’re proud of our unique rural identity and the many diverse opportunities students experience at Kaharoa.
So, as the year begins, we invite you to journey with us – to connect, contribute, and celebrate the everyday milestones of our children. Tā Mātou Pai Ake – Our Best Always.
Nau mai, haere mai.
