We are super proud to share that our Y7&8 and Y5&6 epro8 teams were placed first & first equal at the inter-school competitions this week and will now be competing at the regional competition. Thank you to the PTA who have supported the purchase of equipment. Epro8 is a maths and engineering challenge where students construct working prototypes. I’m sure the finalists will be busy practising now for the regional competition.
Our senior team fitness training also paid off with many students completing the mini marathon with ease. The event went ahead despite the weather and the students showed outstanding resilience.
Values awards & stepping up. It is great to see students striving to demonstrate our school values and a number of values awards were celebrated in team assemblies today. Remember that your child can write to their teacher about a way they have demonstrated a specific value and this may lead to receiving a values award. 8 values awards results in a stepping up award (Primary) or wheel award (seniors). We will celebrate these on Friday 2nd of June and you will be contacted if your child is being acknowledged then.
Our senior students are also working towards head-heart-hand acknowledgements through their service to the school, focus on their learning, and involvement in school events. We look forward to celebrating these also on Friday 2nd of June.
