Word From the Principal

A Word from our DP

Good things to celebrate here at Kaharoa School! The sun is shining and the pool is open for our children. Coming into the final weeks of 2021 it is timely to stop, pause and reflect on what has been achieved this term. We are grateful for many of the usual events and opportunities our children have been able to take part in despite various alert levels throughout the year.

We have missed your presence, our parents and wider community, attending these events as the children love you being there to support and cheer them on. However, through our various communication platforms parents have been able to hear about and talk with their children about many of these events such as Athletics Day, School Assemblies and Ag Videos. This coming Friday we have Nature Day. A celebration of all the wonderful nature we have around us and the opportunity to showcase this in a creative way. Photos will be taken and shared.

We are looking forward to our Year 8 student graduation on Friday 10th December. This is a major event in our school calendar and is one that students, whānau and staff always look forward to. We enjoy celebrating the many successes our Year 8 students have had throughout their schooling at Kaharoa School. Having a formal graduation acknowledges this important step in their life as they move into secondary schooling.

Alert levels have altered the ‘usual’ programme so we will hold two graduations - one for only Kaharoa school children to attend and one for immediate whānau to attend.

With just over two weeks left of school we again thank you for your ongoing support as we complete school assessments and reports whilst at the same time planning for next year.

Take care everyone during this very busy time of the year.
