Snr Constable Ross Humphrey is a Police Youth Aid Officer based in Taupo. He has been working on a research project around understanding truancy with the view of creating a more preventative and collaborative approach locally; an approach which may be useful for other areas of the country as well. Part of the research involves a survey to look at the causal factors and sentiment around truancy from different aspects such as from Principals, ECE, Teachers, parents (any parent or caregiver responsible for ensuring a child’s attendance at school) and the students themselves.
He is keen to get a good number of responses to enable a decent analysis to take place.
If you are interested in supporting this research, please complete the parent survey using the link below. The survey takes around 10-15 minutes to complete.
