Swimming New Zealand is working with all the swimming regions across the country to deliver a one-day (approximately 2-hour) Disability Swim clinic. The aim of the clinics is to allow individuals with a disability to feel part of something and if they are new to swimming, to see if swimming is a sport they would like to get more involved with. Swimming New Zealand is running the Bay of Plenty clinic at the Rotorua Aquatic Centre on 15 July 2022 (in the school holidays) for ages 8+.
The Disability Swim Clinic starts at 10am and will finish around 12pm. The Clinic is free to attend but an RSVP is required, please phone or text 022 456 9793.
Individuals who are already part of a club, swim school, or Parafed group are also very welcome to attend. We would like to help connect individuals who are new to swimming to a club or swim school if they would like.
