We are currently looking at roll numbers before advertising for out of zone enrolments for the 2020 school year. With the enrolment scheme limiting available placements we would appreciate hearing from families who may be moving and from families who may be sending their child to Intermediate.

These school holidays, local artist, Nicola Bennett, is running a holiday art programme with a Food and Art theme. Nicola’s work is very driven by her passion for food. She would like to share this passion with the children.

Kaharoa Kokako Trust’s pre-baiting went well and thank you to everyone that helped. This coming weekend they are putting out another 500g of pre-bait and are keen for helpers to load the bait stations.

The PTA is a very active group, which is involved in a number of fundraising events, and other activities, which directly benefit all our children. We are a high decile school which means we get less money from the ministry than a lower decile school for resources that are needed in and outside of the classroom, we rely heavily on school donations and the funds raised from fundraising events to be able to provide things like playgrounds, environmental improvements, extra classroom resources etc. So your support with fundraising initiatives is really important. Congratulations to the Kaharoa Maxi Hawks Hockey Team who played well and won the reserve champion trophy in their pool A. They came 4th overall out of 10 teams in division 3.
Congratulations to past pupil Max Phillips. Max was the youngest recipient in New Zealand to receive a Certificate of Excellence in Highest Quality Milk Production from Fonterra.
