A huge congratulations to Wiremu, who won the Aniwell Sportsmanship Award at Land Rover Horse of the Year 2020. Equestrian Sports NZ said on their Facebook post, “Wiremu consistently displays great sportsmanship, a willingness to help and learn and is an excellent young horseman”.
Room Kowhai went down to the Kokako Bush Block to enjoy the trees, birds, insects, and fungi.

Room Rimu had a spectacular camp at Waihi in the last week of February, staying at Sapphire Springs Holiday Park and visiting various mining-related venues, local walks and of course the beach. Thank you to the wonderful parents who attended this memorable camp: Corrine Dixon, Brad Hohneck, Eddie Brake, Courtney Brunt, Jacqui English, Eden Ross, Vanessa Paikea, Jenn Transom, Shaun Coxhead.
Well done to the children who challenged themselves and represented the school in the RATS Duathlon yesterday. Thank you to the parents who supported the children and provided transport, it is very much appreciated. Special mention to Casey Day who got 3rd place in the Y5/6 race and Kobe Stranks-Rose who got 2nd place in the Y7/8 race.

Congratulations to past pupils, Kallista and Nando Pijnaker on their recent achievements. Kallista finished her Mechanical Engineering degree with honours and has a job lined up with Fisher & Paykel working on breathing machines for hospitals. Nando has just signed his first professional contract with Grasshopper Football Club in Zurich, Switzerland. We wish you both the best in your future endeavours!
