Earthfest - Free Earth Science event

​Geoscience Society of NZ are hosting a free Earth Sciences event at Toi Ohomai on 29-30 November. Aotearoa’s biggest and only family friendly event dedicated entirely to the world of Earth Sciences. Learn about volcanoes, earthquakes, energy, minerals, fossils, rocks and all other things about the active and dynamic planet we live on and the scientists who study and explain it to us.

EarthFest includes interacting and engaging displays from a wide range of organisations and experts in their fields. In 2026 EarthFest is being held at Toi Ohomai in Rotorua from 29 – 30 November and in its fourth year is going to be bigger and better than ever, thanks to the support of Toi Ohomai and the Geoscience Society of New Zealand.
