A special thank you from the staff and students of Kaharoa School to Grant & Crystal Plummer from Four Square, for their ongoing support of our school. We greatly appreciate the special support the school receives from Four Square and encourage parents to use their store at every possible convenience.
Congratulations to the PTA for organising such a positive community-focused event in the Hamurana Flyer last weekend…
Reminder: We have a policy of no sweets or chocolates at school - this is also in line with our healthy eating guidelines and only to be had as occasional treats. Although Christmas candy canes and lollies are around at this time of the year they are not to be eaten at school. However we will allow these special treats to be eaten during the last week of term.
Congratulations to the following past pupils for winning these awards:

Thank you to the Ngati Whakaue Endowment Grant for the grant of $13,000 to ‘boost our oral literacy in reading and writing’. This grant enables us to purchase the Quick60 Alphabet books and the Factual texts Set 2 (we bought Set 1 this year), storage for these sets and employ a teacher aide to run these programmes next year. We are also able to purchase sets of Lego for our Bricks Club. We are beyond grateful for this grant and the benefits it will bring for our tamariki.
Congratulations to Amy Brunt, Gemma Brunt and Sam Gifford…
