This term our Key Competency is COMMUNICATION
This is a Kaharoa Learner that can confidently and clearly communicate, interpret and respond to messages.
We will be learning about communication through the ages, investigating inventions that have supported communication and making comparisons between now and then.

If you have any pictures or examples of machines that were used to communicate messages, we would love to be able to have a look at them.

The cornerstone value is HONESTY and TRUTHFULNESS.

The children have access to their online work using their school google login. Please ask your child to show you what they have been doing. Better still to share their pieces of work with you so you can make a positive comment. We do 2 stars and a wish.
This means two parts that you like and one part to work on. Everything that you do or don’t do comes down to CONFIDENCE. Always believe in yourself even when it is not easy.

In mathematics, the focus is multiplication/ division and measurement.

Our reading will focus on comprehension and interpretation of a variety of texts.

In writing we will be exploring pick a path stories and advertising.

Many of the children will have personal presentations to present. Please ask your child when their presentation is due.

Homework
Any work that is not completed in class the children will be asked to complete at home.

Math’s Whizz – If children are able to complete 2 session a week at home. The programme will allow a maximum of 120 minutes.

Children remember your homework challenges. You should be completing at least 2 each term.
